December 30 – Lachlan Craft Circle’s final meet for 2016, and what a plethora of talent, colour and activity!
How proud are we of our youngest member whose quilt top is now complete – a stunning choice of fabrics and colour, and to think that it promises to look even more stunning once the quilt is complete with edging and stitching!
Wondering where her talent arises? Then take a close look at the clever crochet rug which her mother is close to completing – all angles and turns. The maker has been crocheting away at the bundle in her lap for weeks – today the bundle spread out to reveal a work of art.
The kitchen of the hall came alive with bubble and trouble with fleece, woollen yarn and balls cooking up with dye colour in pots, pans and a slow cooker whilst out in the hall others keeping busy with spinning, knitting, crochet, stitching and let’s not forget talking and sharing.
So we come to the close of 2016 – it’s been a fantastic year for the group due completely to the terrific diversity of personality and talent the group has attracted.
Thank you, one and all, for your contribution over 2016 to Lachlan Craft Circle and we now look forward to an even more fulfilling 2017.
